I got this for close to $100, and it's nice, not a wow, not a what a steal. It's fine. The picture looks better. It's soft.Great colors, soft, looks great!Colors are beautiful, better than pictured. Good soft feel, appears to be very well made. I hesitated buying because of other reviews mentioning strong chemical smells, as I am extremely sensitive to perfumes, odors, but there was zero odor from this rug. As long as the rug wears well I am so happy with this purchase. This rug is a true value for its appearance and softness. I can't rate how easy it is to keep clean yet because I just started using it yesterday, August 11. That's the downside of this rug because I received the rug on July 31. It took 11 days of gassing and considerable work to get the chemical smell and toxins down to the point where I could use the rug. Why did I keep it? Because of the appearance - just like in the posted image, and the soft texture - it's next to my bed, so my bare feet feel it every night - for a great price! Because of those, I gave it two weeks to gas to the point where I could use it next to my bed. I have asthma and it's critical not to breathe toxic fumes all night while sleeping - it could kill or at least send me to the hospital (and they're almost full right now in Florida). I also have a companion parrot for whom toxic chemical fumes are also lethal. Here's what it took to get the rug to the point where I can use it and not smell it anymore (based on the best approach I found on a web search):- Scrub with a soft bristle brush and a mild dish detergent - both sides, especially the bottom, because that's the biggest source of the fumes.- Hang to dry and gas outside - at least outside the house so you don't have to deal with the toxic fumes anywhere in the house, like in the garage or in my case, on the screened-in lanai. I let it air for 2-3 days on each side and it still reeked of chemicals!- Lay flat and completely cover one side with baking soda, working the powder into the material so it's saturated to the point possible with a dry powder. Let sit for 2-3 days, thoroughly vacuum up the baking soda, flip over, and repeat on the opposite side. Of course, make sure it's somewhere that isn't exposed to the elements or excessive dust and debris, with a cloth or plastic under it to keep the other side clean.- Beat the rug on both sides to remove any remaining baking powder the vacuum didn't pick up. Don't beat too hard or you'll break down the fibers. But this is polypropylene, so it's not too fragile. There was a small cloud of dust when I did this, so it was a necessary step. Getting all the baking soda out is critical because it has absorbed all the chemicals. I didn't realize this when I first smelled the rug with the powder on it - I thought the process hadn't worked. But after removing all the baking soda, the smell was gone and had moved into the vacuum dust container, where it was easy to dispose of directly into the trash outside, so none of that smell is in the house. This whole process took the 11 days since I received the rug. So you pay this extra "price" for the rug - you decide if it's worth it to you or not. It was to me...The print and colors matched the room decor. No problem with the carpet. Cleans quicklyThis is well likedThis rug is in our library and gets a fair amount of traffic and our dogs/cats spend time on it. Due to unfortunate puppy accidents, it has been puked on, peed on and pooped on--more than once--and it cleans up like a champ. Exactly what we need! Also, soft to walk on and beautiful. I'd buy it again!I love the rug. It is anchored by living room furniture so I didn't need the slip pad under it. I bought the matching pillow covers and am thrilled with these purchases.
