Description

For centuries, man has looked to the heavens and asked the most simple, yet profound questions: Where is Heaven? How do we get there? Barbara Walters speaks with some of the world’s greatest religious leaders and scholars, including the Dalai Lama, Theodore Cardinal McCarrick, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, Dr. Calvin Butts, and Rabbi Neil Gillman about the differing views on Heaven the world’s religions hold. From Dharamsala, India, to the inside of Israeli prisons, and Harlem’s Abyssinian Baptist Church, viewers will be taken on a journey of heart and soul and mystery.

As a Christian, I found this video very enlightening. I believe that every Christian must familiarize him/herself with the basic beliefs of other religions in order to be a strong witness for Christ. Once you understand them, you can search the scriptures for God's point of view. Barbara Walters did an excellent job of providing us with this type of information. She was a proper interviewer, not invoking her own beliefs; allowing her guests to speak freely without feeling challenged. I too was amazed at the many strange beliefs, and even the conflicting beliefs among people who supposedly share the same religion. But I feel the interview did its job. It enlightened us, gave us new insight into what is right or wrong with society as it is, gave us deeper understanding of what it is we need to pray for. Thank you Barbara. You saved me many hours of research.
